At sub-scanner ("Sub Scanner", "Sub Scan", "we", "our", or "us"), we recognize the importance of your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our application. We do not collect sensitive personal data such as race, political views, or religious beliefs. Our primary focus is to provide a functional, engaging experience while respecting your privacy rights. Any user data involved in our processing is limited to publicly accessible Reddit content and metadata.

Data Collection

sub-scanner collects and processes publicly available Reddit data to operate and improve the App. This may include content from Reddit users that is visible through Reddit’s public APIs or Devvit platform, including usernames, comments, subreddit activity, and post metadata.

This data is used to generate prompts for AI features (such as report generation) and may be passed to third-party services such as OpenAI for processing. We do not collect private Reddit data, direct messages, passwords, or anything not made publicly accessible by Reddit’s platform.

Other types of data we may collect include:

• Reddit user ID (if applicable)
• Public Reddit profile details (e.g., avatar URLs, usernames)
• Basic diagnostic or analytics data (e.g., page loads, feature usage)

We do not knowingly collect or store sensitive personal data. All data handling practices are designed to align with Reddit’s API usage guidelines and the privacy policies of any third-party services used in processing.

Billing and Reddit Gold

All purchases in sub-scanner are made using Reddit’s virtual currency, Reddit Gold. We do not store or process payment information and are not responsible for billing disputes or refunds.

All Reddit Gold transactions are subject to Reddit’s own policies and terms. If Reddit issues a refund or revokes a transaction, any Credits or digital content associated with that purchase may be removed from your account.

Data Retention

We retain user-related data only as long as needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. Report content may be stored temporarily during processing, and for later viewing after posting, but we do not guarantee long-term storage. Users should save any reports they wish to keep.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from users under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.
